SYNOPSIS

gcloud alpha compute addresses test-iam-permissions NAME --permissions=[PERMISSION,…] [--global     | --region=REGION] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG …]

DESCRIPTION

(ALPHA) gcloud alpha compute addresses test-iam-permissions tests the IAM permissions that a caller has on a Compute Engine address.

EXAMPLES

To test if the caller has the compute.addresses.get permission on the regional address my-address in region us-central1, run:

gcloud alpha compute addresses test-iam-permissions my-address --region=us-central1 --permissions=compute.addresses.get

To test if the caller has the compute.globalAddresses.get permission on the global address my-address, run:

gcloud alpha compute addresses test-iam-permissions my-address --global --permissions=compute.globalAddresses.get

POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS

NAME

Name of the address to test-iam-permissions.

REQUIRED FLAGS

--permissions=[PERMISSION,…]

The set of permissions to check for the resource.

OPTIONAL FLAGS

At most one of these can be specified:

--global

If set, the address is global.

--region=REGION

Region of the address to test-iam-permissions. Overrides the default compute/region property value for this command invocation.

GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS

These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.

This command is currently in alpha and might change without notice. If this command fails with API permission errors despite specifying the correct project, you might be trying to access an API with an invitation-only early access allowlist.
