如果專案受到 VPC Service Controls 保護，系統會停用新增公開或外部網站網址做為筆記本來源的功能。
新增網站網址做為來源時，系統會即時檢索公開網路，產生 Google 網路以外的外送網路流量。由於 VPC Service Controls 會封鎖輸出網路流量，以維護安全性和法規遵循，因此受 VPC Service Controls 保護的專案會封鎖直接網站擷取作業。
系統仍支援其他來源類型，例如 Google 雲端硬碟文件和 YouTube 影片連結。YouTube 影片連結仍受支援，因為系統會使用內部服務擷取 YouTube 轉錄稿，而非即時公開網頁檢索。
