Dataset
Stay organized with collections
Save and categorize content based on your preferences.
The platform or product that contains the data that you would like to query in Data Studio.
The data set is the system outside of Data Studio where your collected data actually resides. Examples include a specific Google Analytics property or view, one or more Google Ads manager sub-accounts, a set of Display & Video 360 advertisers, a BigQuery table or query, a Google Sheets spreadsheet, a Facebook Ads account, etc.
You can also store datasets on Google servers by uploading CSV files.
When you connect external data to Data Studio, you manage connectors, data sources, and credentials. Understanding how these three components work together helps you customize data presentation and securely share reports with
your team.
