SYNOPSIS
gcloud alpha biglake hive databases create (DATABASE : --catalog=CATALOG) [--description=DESCRIPTION] [--location-uri=LOCATION_URI] [--properties=[KEY=VALUE,…]] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG]
DESCRIPTION
(ALPHA) Creates a BigLake Hive database.
EXAMPLES
To create a BigLake Hive database named my-database in catalog my-catalog, run:
gcloud alpha biglake hive databases create my-database --catalog=my-catalog

To create a BigLake Hive database named my-database in catalog my-catalog, with bucket gs://my-bucket, properties key1=value1,key2=value2 and description My new database, run:

gcloud alpha biglake hive databases create my-database --catalog=my-catalog --location-uri=gs://my-bucket --description="My new database" --properties=key1=value1,key2=value2
POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Hive database resource - The Hive Database to create. The arguments in this group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in other ways.

To set the project attribute:

  • provide the argument database on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --project on the command line;
  • set the property core/project.

This must be specified.

DATABASE
ID of the hive_database or fully qualified identifier for the hive_database.

To set the database attribute:

  • provide the argument database on the command line.

This positional argument must be specified if any of the other arguments in this group are specified.

--catalog=CATALOG
Name of the Hive catalog to use. To set the catalog attribute:
  • provide the argument database on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --catalog on the command line.
FLAGS
--description=DESCRIPTION
Description of the Hive database.
--location-uri=LOCATION_URI
The Cloud Storage location path where the database data will be stored. Format: gs://bucket/path/to/database
--properties=[KEY=VALUE,…]
Additional properties associated with the database.
GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.
