Method: projects.locations.dataScans.delete

Deletes a DataScan resource.

DELETE https://dataplex.googleapis.com/v1/{name=projects/*/locations/*/dataScans/*}

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
name

Required. The resource name of the dataScan: projects/{project}/locations/{locationId}/dataScans/{dataScanId} where project refers to a projectId or projectNumber and locationId refers to a Google Cloud region.

Authorization requires the following IAM permission on the specified resource name:

  • dataplex.datascans.delete

Query parameters

Parameters
force

boolean

Optional. If set to true, any child resources of this data scan will also be deleted. (Otherwise, the request will only work if the data scan has no child resources.)

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Operation.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/dataplex.read-write
