Update a metadata entity. Only supports full resource update.

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax.

Path parameters

Parameters
entity.name	string Output only. The resource name of the entity, of the form: projects/{projectNumber}/locations/{locationId}/lakes/{lakeId}/zones/{zoneId}/entities/{id}.

Query parameters

Parameters
validateOnly	boolean Optional. Only validate the request, but do not perform mutations. The default is false.

Request body

The request body contains an instance of Entity.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Entity.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/dataplex.read-write
