Manage folders

You can create folders to organize the dashboards and Looks that you create. For more information, see Manage Looks and Create a dashboard from a Look. You need Admin permissions to do the folder management tasks described on this page.

Folder types

The following folder types are available:

  • Favorites. This folder contains Looks that you mark as your favorites. For more information, see Mark a Look as a favorite.

  • My Folder. This folder contains dashboards that you have created or edited. This folder is not shared with other users.

  • Group. This folder contains dashboards that are shared with users who have access to your instance.

Create a folder

To create a folder, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To create a personal folder, click My Folder.

    • To create a shared folder, click Group.

  4. Click create_new_folder Create New Folder. The Create Folder pane appears.

  5. Click the Name of new folder field and enter the folder name.

  6. Click Create Folder.

  7. Optional: To create a subfolder, do the following:

    1. Click the folder that you created, and then click create_new_folder Create New Folder. The Create Folder pane appears.

    2. Click the Name of new folder field and enter the folder name.

    3. Click Create Folder.

Move a dashboard or a Look to a different folder

To move a dashboard or a Look to a different folder, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Go to the dashboard or Look that you want to move, and then click More Actions > Move to.

  4. Go to the folder that you want to move the dashboard or Look to, and then click Move Here.

Copy a dashboard or a Look to a different folder

To copy a dashboard or a Look to a different folder, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Go to the dashboard or Look that you want to copy, and then click More Actions > Make a copy.

  4. Go to the folder that you want to copy the dashboard or Look to, and then click Copy Here.

Delete a dashboard or a Look

To delete a dashboard or a Look, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Go to the dashboard or Look that you want to delete, and then click More Actions > Move to trash.

  4. Click Move to trash.

Filter your folder display

To filter your folder display, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To filter your personal folder display, click My Folder.

    • To filter the shared folder display, click Group.

  4. Click search Search. The Filter by title field appears.

  5. In the Filter by title field, type a filter name. Folders, dashboards, and Looks are filtered as you type.

  6. Remove the text from the Filter by title field to remove the filter.

Sort your folder display

To sort your folder display, follow these steps:

  1. In the CCAI Platform portal, click Dashboard > Advanced Reporting. If you don't see the Dashboard menu, expand the window horizontally until the Dashboard menu appears. The Advanced Reporting Landing Page appears.

  2. Click folder Open Folders. The Folders pane appears.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • To sort personal folders, click My Folder.

    • To sort shared folders, click Group.

  4. Next to Folders, Dashboards, or Looks, click the sort button, and then click a sort option: Name, Created Date, or Last update.

  5. Select the same option again to reverse the sort order.
