Anomaly detection
Cloud Billing uses an AI-powered algorithm to detect cost anomalies in your projects. Anomalies are spikes or deviations in usage costs that differ from your expected spend, based on historical spending patterns.
View and manage cost anomalies from the Anomalies dashboard in the Google Cloud console. The AI algorithm improves its accuracy based on your usage and your feedback.

AI Cost Summary Agent
The AI Cost Summary Agent uses Gemini to analyze your spending on Google Cloud AI services, such as Vertex AI and Gemini API. In the Your AI Spend widget on the Billing Overview page, you can ask natural language questions to do the following:
- Gain insights into your AI costs
- Identify cost drivers
- Understand spending anomalies

AI-driven cost forecasts
In Cloud Billing Reports, the cost forecasting feature uses advanced machine learning models to analyze historical spending trends, detect seasonality and recurring cycles, regularize data anomalies, and predict your future spend up to 12 months in advance.

In Cloud Billing Reports, you can use Gemini to analyze your costs and gain insights into your cloud spend. Gemini in Cloud Billing Reports lets you do the following:
- Create custom reports using natural language: Describe the report that you need, and Gemini configures the report filters for you.
- Summarize your spending: Gemini provides summaries of your reports, highlighting key cost trends and drivers.
- Access preconfigured reports: Use Google-configured reports for common cost management tasks.
