Cloud Service Mesh 支援各種基礎架構 (GKE/Kubernetes、Compute Engine) 和環境 (地端部署、其他雲端)。本頁面說明 API 和選項，協助您在所有選項中使用 Cloud Service Mesh。
透過 Google Cloud
Google Cloud 提供兩種 API 選擇，視您打算使用的基礎架構而定。
如果工作負載僅在 GKE 上，請使用 Istio API。
使用 Fleet API，在機群中的叢集上安裝 Cloud Service Mesh。
選擇要使用的 CA (MeshCA 或 CAS)。機群中的叢集都會使用相同的 CA，在叢集上執行的工作負載之間建立信任關係。
系統會自動啟用 Service Mesh UI。
GKE 的代管控制層
為這些叢集佈建的控制層，取決於您是要將叢集新增至現有機群，還是佈建新機群。
新的機群會使用全域代管控制層。這個控制層可橫跨整個 Google Cloud 網路，提供更高的可靠性和穩定性。
如果將叢集新增至現有機群，新叢集會使用與現有叢集相同的代管控制層實作方式。
非代管 Cloud Service Mesh
您也可以選擇使用未受管理的叢內控制層。Google 強烈建議您使用代管 Cloud Service Mesh，讓 Google 更新及維護網格基礎架構。只有在代管 Cloud Service Mesh 不支援您的用途時，才應使用這個選項。使用者必須定期發布版本和修補程式，才能確保系統維持最新狀態。
VM、GKE 和/或無 Proxy gRPC
如果工作負載是 VM 和 GKE 的組合，或使用無 Proxy 的 gRPC，則應使用 Service Routing API。這些 API 可讓您定義網格，並設定該網格中服務之間的轉送。
關閉 Google Cloud
Cloud Service Mesh 支援各種環境中的 GKE 和附加叢集。在這個案例中，Cloud Service Mesh 是 Google Cloud 中 GKE Enterprise 的一部分。Cloud Service Mesh 支援下列環境：
- 適用於 VMware 的 Google Distributed Cloud (僅限軟體)
- Bare Metal 適用的 Google Distributed Cloud (僅限軟體)

在這些環境中，Cloud Service Mesh 會使用 asmcli 安裝在叢集內。叢集會安裝 Istio API，讓使用者設定 Kubernetes 工作負載的服務網格。
