Storage for Google Cloud VMware Engine datastores

You can use Filestore instances as external datastores for VMware ESXi hosts in Google Cloud VMware Engine. This lets you scale up your storage independently of your compute resources.

To do so, use an existing Filestore Zonal, Regional, or Enterprise instance or create a new instance in regions where both VMware Engine and Filestore are available. Once the instance is ready, you can mount it as an external datastore to your existing VMware ESXi hosts in VMware Engine.
