Distributed Cloud 連線機架部署作業包含 6 到 24 部實體機器、兩個機架頂端 (ToR) 交換器，以及兩個匯聚交換器，可將機器與本機網路和選用的擴充機架互連。在每個已部署的 Distributed Cloud connected 區域中，您最多可將 3 個擴充機架連接至基本機架組。
Distributed Cloud connected 硬體會執行工作站節點，並將這些節點分組到節點集區，然後指派給 Distributed Cloud connected Google Cloud 專案中的叢集。您可以在容器和虛擬機器中執行工作負載。

Google Distributed Cloud 軟體可安裝在 VMware 或裸機上：
Google Distributed Cloud for Bare Metal 在實體機器上執行，而非虛擬機器，因此您可以在各種效能最佳化的硬體類型 (例如 GPU) 上管理應用程式容器。在裸機上執行 Google Distributed Cloud 時，應用程式也能直接存取硬體。
Google Distributed Cloud for VMware 會在您地端的 vSphere 環境中執行。 vSphere 是 VMware 的虛擬化平台。
