How RaMP works
RaMP follows the following phased approach to guide your migration and modernization journey.
Assess

Using our advanced tools, we help you identify the highest-value opportunities and workloads, perform total cost of ownership calculations, and establish performance benchmarks to start to maximize immediate business value.
In this phase, use Google Cloud Migration Center to discover source infrastructure and assessment to understand your existing environment.
Plan
We work with your team to perform a thorough, data-driven discovery of your existing environment. Using our advanced tools, we help you identify the highest-value opportunities and workloads, perform total cost of ownership calculations, and establish performance benchmarks to start to maximize immediate business value.
In this phase, use Google Cloud Migration Center to organize assets into groups, generate TCO reports, and define migration waves:
- Start a cost estimation
- Review and export cost estimation results
- Collect asset data for one-time export
- Collect asset data and automatically upload it to Google Cloud
- Directly import asset inventory data from AWS
- Manually import data
- Detected software workloads
