Delete an agent

You can delete an entire agent or remove individual main or subagents from within the Agent Designer.

Delete an entire agent

When you delete an agent, it is permanently removed from your app and can no longer be used. Even though you might see your past conversations in your history, you can't continue those sessions or recover the deleted agent.

Console

To delete an entire agent, do the following:

1. In the Google Cloud console, go to the Gemini Enterprise > Apps page.

2. Select your app and copy the Gemini Enterprise web app URL from the Dashboard.

3. Open the web app URL in a new browser tab.

4. In the web app navigation menu, click Agents.

   The Agent Gallery page appears displaying all the prebuilt agents and custom-built agents.

5. For the agent you want to delete, click Actions menu and select Delete.

6. Confirm your decision to permanently delete the agent.

   Your agent is deleted and removed from your Gemini Enterprise app.

Delete a main agent or subagent

You can remove a main agent or a subagent from your agent's flow using the Agent Designer Flow tab.

Note: Deleting the main agent will automatically delete all connected subagents.

Console

To delete a main agent or subagent, do the following:

1. Open your Gemini Enterprise app and go to the Agent Gallery page.
2. For the agent that contains the main agent or the subagents that you want to delete, click Actions menu and select Edit.
3. In the Agent Designer canvas, click the Flow tab.
4. Click the main agent or the subagent that you want to delete.
5. In the main agent or subagent details pane, click Delete.
6. Confirm your decision to permanently delete the main agent or subagent.
7. Click Update to save and relaunch the agent.
