Change the appearance of the Google Cloud console

You can change the appearance of the Google Cloud console by selecting a color theme, supporting light mode and dark mode. The console can also match your operating system's color scheme preference.

Select a color theme

If you have never manually selected a color theme for the Google Cloud console, the console automatically matches your operating system's color scheme preference.

To change the color theme for the console, follow these steps:

1. Open the Google Cloud console.
2. On the console toolbar, click Settings and utilities.
3. In the menu, click Appearance.
4. In the dialog that appears, select a color theme from the options: Light, Dark, or Same as device.

The page does not reload when you select a color theme, so your context and work in the console are preserved.
