API-Zugriff und Kontingente anfordern

Bevor Sie private Clouds erstellen oder auf Google Cloud VMware Engine zugreifen können, müssen Sie die entsprechende VMware Engine API aktivieren und ein verfügbares Knotenkontingent haben.

In the Google Cloud console, on the project selector page, select or create a Google Cloud project.

Roles required to select or create a project

• Select a project: Selecting a project doesn't require a specific IAM role—you can select any project that you've been granted a role on.
• Create a project: To create a project, you need the Project Creator role (roles/resourcemanager.projectCreator), which contains the resourcemanager.projects.create permission. Learn how to grant roles.

Note: If you don't plan to keep the resources that you create in this procedure, create a project instead of selecting an existing project. After you finish these steps, you can delete the project, removing all resources associated with the project.

Verify that billing is enabled for your Google Cloud project.

Enable the VMware Engine API.

To enable APIs, you need the Service Usage Admin IAM role (roles/serviceusage.serviceUsageAdmin), which contains the serviceusage.services.enable permission. Learn how to grant roles.

VMware Engine-Knotenkontingent anfordern

Ihre Knotenkontingente beschreiben die maximale Anzahl von Knoten, die Sie in einer Region und in allen Regionen zuweisen können, vorausgesetzt, die Knoten sind verfügbar. Sie müssen in Ihrem Google Cloud Projekt über ein Kontingent verfügen, um eine Private Cloud in diesem Google Cloud Projekt erstellen zu können.

Sie weisen das VMware Engine-Knotenkontingent pro Google Cloud Projekt und Region zu. Außerdem hat Ihr Google Cloud Projekt ein globales Knotenkontingent, das das Gesamtkontingent für alle Regionen darstellt. Sie müssen eine Anfrage zur Kontingenterhöhung senden und genehmigen, um Ihr Kontingent zu erhöhen und mehr Knoten zuzuweisen.
